No Room At The Inn

My half-child just called. He wants to come to New Orleans to visit Shorty over the winter break. Really. All I can say is, "Good luck finding a hotel room for less than $150/night." There was this little thing called a natural disaster that hit here a few months ago, and most hotels are contracted out to FEMA, Red Cross, The Army Corps of Engineers, et. al. If he weren't so financially retarded, he'd see that it costs less money to get the boy an air matress to sleep on & fly him out to LA...but then what does it say about me that I married & had a child with him in the first place. You live & you learn.
