An Epidemic

I saw it on the news yesterday, I'm listening to Michael Baisden talk about it on the radio now, and I've been living with the results in real life for at least the last 12 years. Apparently, it's an epidemic, and black women are suffering from it the most. It's called Jackass Syndrome, and it makes AIDS/HIV look as innocuous as the common cold.

How does it happen? Well, here's the recipe for disaster:

Take one insecure female horse (bred from an emotionally absent male donator of an X chromosome and an incredibly strong mother who gave her the other X chromosome but raised her), add a donkey (aka jackass) male who also grew up without a father (not to be confused with a dad, who at best is fun and at his own discretion is present in his biological son's life, but never really raises his child) and was likely loved but not raised by his single mother. Have the two procreate to make another either insecure female or small donkey (aka, a mule). Add in lots of anger, bitterness, & resentment from both sides, simmered over money, and you'll likely have the same thing happening when the offspring of these two chronological adults reaches the age of reproduction.

I've seen it happen over and over. The sad part is, a lot of women go out and repeat the same mistake over and over with one jackass after another. They fall for the okeydoke these dudes feed them in attempts at getting the women into bed, with the females thinking he will be that knight in shining armour they were brain washed as girls to believe exists (i.e. Cinderella, Snow White, and all those other poisonous fairy tales). And so the cycle continues.

So what's the cure?

Ladies, we need to take responsibility for our actions and stop giving it up for pipe dreams! Make better choices! If he's a jackass when you meet him, he's ALWAYS going to be that way! You can't take him to the altar to alter him! And you certainly can't kiss (or have sex, or God forbid, have a baby with him) to change him from a frog into a prince! Let your void of love be filled with the love of God and wait for the right man. Don't be confused and think that the right man always comes in a perfect package with Looks, Money, & Personality. You're going to have to take 2 out of 3, which beats the pants off ending up with another half-child (which is what a jackass is in the first place). So don't nag a good man (see it, think about it, then look it up...it has something to do with being a complaining horse) for not having 3 out of 3.

Men, please take responsibility for your actions. If a woman is nagging (er go, still talking) you still have a chance. Use the two ears God gave you to listen to what she's saying. She's giving you the answer to what you need to do to keep her in your life. If she's worth it, grow up! If she's not (& you know you're a donkey), grow up any way! You're going to keep having the same problems with every woman that comes into your life until you do. And if you're a good man, recognize those women who have the void and wait for her to be filled with God's love before you move in and try to make a life with her.

Whew! Next on my list...take my own advice!
